18/04/2010-24/04/2010

This week, we welcome another Indian teacher, Shankarji, who came to give an introductory talk on 23/04/2010.

Turn out was quite depressing.  Let's just say, the sevas present were more than the people that turned up for the talk.

During Satsang, we tried out some new songs, most of it which turned out horrendous! It shows the importance of effort and practice.  It was a great session of experimenting and trying out new things and at the end of it, have a great laugh at ourselves.

For our knowledge session, we are already on our second round of Guruji's discourse on the Patanjali Yoga Sutras.  This week, we watched the Veils of Misery.

I still shake my head in disbelief how I have the patience to sit through this knowledge sessions to listen to the discourse with any interest at all. But somehow I am lucky and fortunate enough to have made it and somewhere along the way, I have gradually absorbed some knowledge points, forgotten some, and never even aware of ever having listened to some in the same video.  Even though I am watching it for the second time round, it is still a whole new experience!

Of course, the best part is always to catch somebody having a hard time keeping their eyes open and to have a good laugh.
