For new members and beginners, have you wonder what is SATSANG all about?
why we gather and sing the so called "Sanskrit" language song which we do not even understand a single words???why not 张惠妹？？？周杰伦？？？
WHAT IS SATSANG ?
Satsang (Sanskrit sat = true, sanga = company)
according to Guruji,
Satsang means the company of reality, being in touch with the truth.
Satsang is not just singing. Singing some complicated songs which you don’t understand is not Satsang. Music is a part of it. The second part is understanding the logic. The third part is sitting and reposing in yourself, in deep meditation, being with yourself.
normally, in our centre, we start at 7.30p.m. and After 2 hours of singing, we will listen to knowledge by Guruji from VCD. finished at about 10.00p.m. ( for those mummy driver sending children for tuition and need some quality timeoff, you are welcome to join in )
after the session, whether you understand or not about the song and the knowledge, you will feel calm and energized! this is the THE POWER OF SATSANG.
This week SATSANG is very special.
6 adults + 1 little people attended. ( teacher Hwa Seng is in Taiwan, our chair-lady attending wedding dinner )
this little one who joined us and also sang loudly with microphone is Wei Sern. ( carmen's son )
First, he is a bit shy then he grabbed the mic and sing as loud as he wanted... :-P and beat us all...because he does not need to look at the lyric! well, a bit out of tune but there you go..." Ganesha Om...Ganesha Om..."
and i realised 月香 , 如意 and shin wei sang beautifully. 月香's voice soft and gentle. 如意's voice full of energy, shin wei's voice steady and sharp! and i lead a song too...i called it " my baby sleeping rhyme - NARAYANA " ( my baby will fall asleep when i sing this song )
okie dokie... hope to see more people and more children crush in our SATSANG session next week. let's make it "lau juok lau juok "
